Munich's Excellent Companies 2025
Emotional award-winner videos for the City of Munich: We put social commitment and NGOs in the spotlight with genuine goosebump moments.
Challenge
When the Department of Social Services of the City of Munich presents the "Munich's Outstanding Companies" award, it is about more than just profitability – it is about genuine social responsibility. The original brief for these award-winner videos was to visit the four winning companies on-site and introduce them in a classic format. However, the client's project team had a great vision: the films needed to be noticeably more emotional. Instead of just portraying the companies, the focus was to be placed primarily on the social partner organizations and NGOs. The challenge? The original concept and budget were only designed for the four company visits. But to truly capture the social projects authentically, it quickly became clear: a first-class video production for this project meant going directly to where the help is received – to the social institutions themselves.
Solution
Since we at Panda Pictures love our hometown of Munich and important social causes, we didn't hesitate for long. We made the shoot days significantly larger and more extensive than originally planned in order to support these amazing initiatives with full force. Using our in-house equipment and our experienced in-house film crew, we set out to execute this special film production. A real highlight was an additional, spontaneous shoot day at Spitzingsee, where trees were eagerly planted – a fantastic initiative that we absolutely wanted to capture on film to give the videos even more depth.
In addition to visiting the award-winning companies, we captured impressive footage at the NGOs and agencies. Through in-depth interviews with all the project managers involved, we were able to make their concrete work authentic and tangible. We then finalized the four films in post-production through the appropriate editing, a careful selection of music and atmospheric color grading enhanced. The final outcome is four beautiful films that show exactly how important local cohesion is – and they will surely get under your skin just as much as they did ours.
