COLOR GRADING

Let there be color.

We see the world through a kaleidoscope of color. Colors inspire us because every hue carries a specific meaning and impact on us as humans. Whether it is the temperament of a vibrant red or the calming softness of a delicate blue, colors move us. Our trained colorists have perfected this understanding of color design to give your film the perfect look. Here, we explain how our films are brought to life through the right grading. You can see the incredible effect this has had on our previous work in our color grading showreel.

COLOR GRADING AND COLOR CORRECTION

Color grading explained.

What exactly does color grading mean? In film, there is a distinction between color correction and color grading. Color correction focuses on the surface level—it is about generally correcting the image and matching it to the rest of the footage. For example, color space, brightness, and contrast are adjusted. Color correction is essentially the first step in the color design process during post-production.

Color grading, on the other hand, gives your film its own personality. The look and style of the film are defined by the color choices made during the grading process. As such, color grading is a distinct artistic aspect of your film production compared to color correction.
