The strategy is set, the concept is developed, and now it’s time to capture the vision of your film while staying true to the original idea. Acting, camera, lighting, sound, production design—everything must come together perfectly to get your film in the can exactly as we planned in the previous phases, ultimately creating a film that lives up to your vision and objectives. With solid pre-planning, we professionally execute the shooting schedule. We intentionally don’t say "without a hitch," because in any film project, regardless of size, unforeseen things can always happen. The weather might not cooperate, a protagonist might get sick, or new information might arise at short notice that requires a slight change in the message. Whatever challenges come our way during the shoot, our producers are masters of organization, and our film crew is adept at handling changing situations.
What does film production at Panda Pictures include?
Film production with us is full service along the entire pipeline: consulting, creative development, pre-production, the actual shoot / film production, post-production — and on request distribution plus analysis and optimisation. Scope stays flexible: studio, on location, or at your company; underwater or in the air; with production design, special effects, visual effects; with actors or real employees, child performers, animals, or CGI characters — across Germany, Europe, and worldwide; narrative or documentary. The focus is delivering the best possible film within your requirements. If a specific budget must be met, we’ll find solutions. And of course you can also use us for individual phases only — for example if you already have a concept and only need production, or if you’ve already shot and need solid post-production.
What’s the difference between your film production and video production?
Both are part of our full service, and the terms are often used for similar work. Classically, film production mainly means projects with a shoot and on-set or studio execution with a film crew and everything that comes with it — typically narrative productions. Video production is often used more in the content-production space. In practice the areas overlap, and labels like “explainer film” have become common even when “explainer video” might fit better. Either way — whether you had a film or one or more videos in mind — we run creative, shoot, and post-production as one team and align everything to your goals. In a conversation we’ll gladly clarify the right approach for your objective.
What does a film production cost — and how long does it take?
Cost and timeline depend on the project: locations (studio vs. on location), crew size, special requirements (SFX/VFX, stunts, international shoots, special casting), shoot days, and post. Film production is usually quoted individually. In content production we also offer fixed-price packages where that makes sense, or we adapt them to your goals. For rough orientation, smaller film-production budgets start around €5,000 for simpler projects up to around €50,000 for larger ones — ambitious high-end projects can go higher. Social media content can start from around €500 per video, mainly thanks to synergies across many videos. Please treat this as orientation only: every project is different, and we’ll work out the best cost-benefit approach with you. Many productions land in a span of a few weeks; the concrete plan is built with you. We tune approach and scope to your goals, your budget, and your deadline.
