We produced an impressive production film for Julius Zorn, offering an exclusive, up-close look behind the scenes of their manufacturing process.
Challenge
Imagine your products giving countless people a new lease on life and freedom of movement every single day. That is exactly what the international family-owned company Julius Zorn, or Juzo for short, based in Aichach, Bavaria, is all about. As one of the leading manufacturers of medical compression therapy products, supports, and orthoses, the client faced an exciting task. The brief for our video production called for a high-quality production film that demonstrates the level of expertise behind every single medical device.
The major challenge was to capture the vast scale of the state-of-the-art factory floor while simultaneously focusing on the extremely delicate, individual craftsmanship of the employees. The goal for you as the viewer was to build absolute trust in the quality and attention to detail inherent in every product. The original plan was to create genuine transparency and authentically document the entire journey from thread to finished product in an approachable way.
Solution
To visually translate this fascinating world, our film production team spent five intensive days on-site in Aichach. Our goal was to capture the magic of the manufacturing processes in a fluid and dynamic way. To achieve this, we followed the production schedule through all key stages: from creation and 3D printing in product management to the massive washing and dyeing machines in the dye works, and the cutting-edge machinery in the flat and circular knitting departments. The time spent in the sewing department was particularly impressive, where seamstresses and tailors complete the individual products with immense precision and craftsmanship.
To ensure the film was not only informative but also visually gripping, we utilized innovative camera movements and targeted pack shots. The in-house laboratory for rigorous quality control, as well as the final inspection and shipping processes, were also showcased in great detail. In post-production, we combined this variety into an emotional experience through rhythmic editing and cohesive color grading. The final outcome is a production film that makes the soul of the Julius Zorn brand visible.
