Challenge

Our absolute highlight project last year was definitely our brand film for Scheuermann + Heilig, a leading company in metal and plastic forming. The applications for Scheuermann + Heilig components range from the automotive and electronics industries to the communications sector. Their products are truly everywhere, even if we don't notice them at first glance.

The film's story is based on the question: What would happen if Scheuermann + Heilig didn't exist? The result is a parallel world that has to get by entirely without the technology innovator's components, effectively setting it back in time. From tin-can telephones and animal-powered lawnmowers to terrifying drills—Scheuermann + Heilig's components are so diverse that it was a real joy for us to create and film the most bizarre alternatives. Our protagonist, Peter, has to navigate this absurd world and is certainly not immune to the occasional obstacle along the way. Whether it's the animal alarm clock that forgets to crow on time in the morning or garden shears used as a razor—which prove quite unwieldy—Peter has to overcome quite a few hurdles.

Solution

To bring the film to life, the set design, cast, and locationswere tailored to the project down to the last detail. Our set designer was able to get truly creative with the props, bringing the fantasy world without Scheuermann + Heilig to life. Our two main characters gave it their all during the shoot, fully immersing themselves in their roles and the story. Since animals were even part of our "cast," we had animal handlers on set at all times to ensure their welfare. The final film was intended to transport viewers into a parallel world that feels almost like a fever dream—only to make them all the more grateful for Scheuermann + Heilig's components upon waking from this nightmare. Just as it was for our protagonists, Peter and Maria.

With the help of a pre-developed storyboard and guided by our producers, director, and DoP, the production was carried out over a total of 5 shooting days at a wide variety of locations around Munich. From a creepy basement and sparse office spaces to a chic smart home, a wide range of locations was part of our production. Our large team, perfectly tailored to the project in terms of creative, pre-production, production and Post-production made this shoot a real highlight for us.
