The explainer video serves as a prime example of the different character variations available and gives our clients an insight into what this package can do.
The video highlights just how effective a character can be in an explainer. It helps viewers connect with the content on a deeper level, making it especially well-suited for emotional topics. Depending on the subject matter, the character illustrates how the issue affects the viewer and, as shown in this example, how the product provides the solution.
Solution
The combination of character and animations in this video tells a complete story even without sound, allowing for a cohesive presentation of processes. The typography animations reinforce what is being shown and help anchor key terms in the viewer's memory. Characters can be created in many different ways: using a character with human traits can help build a deeper, stronger connection with the audience.
However, relying solely on human characters can eventually become repetitive. With this version of our character style, we intentionally wanted to subvert expectations, which is why we brought our foxy protagonist to life. Using an animal character can help enhance the playful and accessible feel of an explainer video.
Every character style offers its own unique advantages. In the case of animal protagonists, you can play with associations—like the "thrifty fox," the "busy bee," or the "quiet mouse"—or evoke a specific mood, such as a cozy, chubby cat munching away peacefully. This character style opens up countless creative doors.
