Challenge

For our client BMW and MINI , we executed a combined film and photo production for the online and offline "Engine Oil" digital and print campaign, titled BMW / MINI Engine Oil Highspeed. The resulting images and films are excellent examples of our expertise in detail and macro photography, as well as high-speed cinematography. We combined our footage with supplied material in a modern and dynamic edit, all while maintaining an emotional connection.

Solution

The challenge of the film project BMW / MINI Engine Oil Highspeed was to perfectly showcase the engine oil and visually represent the efficiency and power behind it. A high-speed film production provided the perfect opportunity to convey this impact through powerful imagery. By drawing parallels to the physical strength of a high-performance athlete and incorporating lightning-fast impressions of racing cars, we were able to stage the engine oil optimally. During color grading in our in-house post-production studio, the project received its final polish. The result is an image filmthat impresses with breathtaking visuals and a perfectly matched sound design. Who would have thought that engine oil could be so exciting?

But that is exactly what image films are meant to do: highlight a subject more effectively than ever before and attract new interest.

„Alles CGI? Nein! In dieser Highspeed-Produktion ist alles real. Ein echter BMW-Motor wurde zerlegt, und diverse Practical Effects sowie SFX kamen zum Einsatz. Das Material wurde schließlich weltweit für die Imagekampagne genutzt."
