Europe Day
Challenge
To mark Europe Day, the Representation of the European Commission, in collaboration with the European Patent Office , aimed to showcase both their presence in Munich and the benefits that Bavaria enjoys through the work of these two institutions based in the state capital. The overarching goal of the image film is to raise awareness of the activities of both institutions at a local level and their impact on the daily lives of citizens. Furthermore, the video aims to demonstrate that collaboration is the essential prerequisite for overcoming obstacles and hurdles. The European Parliament Liaison Office could be a key partner in this video, as its mandate is very similar to that of the Representation.
With dynamic companies, world-leading manufacturers, and a strong tradition of research, Bavaria is a growth engine in Europe. The region not only fosters the prosperity of its citizens but also produces innovators and inventors who provide solutions to pressing global problems, from climate change to healthcare. Bavaria thrives and develops such world-changing innovations as part of Europe—a framework that promotes peace, unity, and progress.

Solution
Featuring emotional background music and impressive, moving imagery, this video was produced for Europe Day. Beyond the goal of highlighting the intentions of the European Commission and the European Patent Office, it was important to touch the audience and visualize the sense of community between the institutions. This image film was produced using a combination of stock footage, existing images from the Patent Office, and cutaway shots and interviews captured by our team. Collaboration is the key to success, and this is made clear in the video. Innovations and new opportunities can only be realized when multiple parties contribute, allowing for different perspectives to be captured. The voiceover was recorded in English, as the focus is on reaching everyone, regardless of their native language.
