Moved against racism #TakeAStand
Panda Pictures produced this film for the anti-racism campaign on behalf of the City of Munich and Munich's professional sports clubs.
Challenge
Racism is a pressing issue in our society—and rightly so. It is vital to confront these systemic problems to fight together for a future based on equality, whether in our personal lives, online, or on other platforms. At Panda Pictures, we are committed to taking a stand on this issue. We must all work together to combat racism effectively and for the long term. We need to speak up instead of turning a blind eye just because it might be uncomfortable to examine our own privileges. In Munich , over one hundred organizations, associations, public authorities, and sports clubs are participating in this year's "International Weeks Against Racism" program with a total of 130 events.
Solution
It is essential to provide a platform for those affected and let them speak for themselves. There is no question that we must face the sobering reality of racism here in Germany. This is one of the reasons why this film is intended to generate awareness across as many different channels as possible. Our top athletes clearly demonstrate that this issue affects every one of us and that we must take a stand and listen to those affected, rather than speaking for them or looking the other way.
For this reason, we are very pleased to support this anti-racism campaign by producing such an emotional and important video. Our goal with this film was to shake people up and present the facts clearly. We wanted to show what is going wrong in the world and that it is everyone's responsibility to work on it. Our film crew, the production team, and the post-production team have turned this idea created a truly moving film. Thank you to everyone who made it possible for us to produce this film, and thank you to our team, for bringing this film to life so brilliantly.
