Yourfone. Your Deal.
Panda Pictures produced the Yourfone DRTV spot "Yourfone. Your Deal.", which aired on TV over the Christmas season.
Challenge
We filmed an authentic DRTV commercial at Panda Pictures GmbH with our client Yourfone. This Yourfone DRTV spot was broadcast nationwide on channels such as Pro7 or Vox. The spot ran between 2018 and 2019 during the Christmas and New Year period, allowing us to achieve exceptionally high reach. The commercial was filmed in a studio with actors, extras, and props as a one-shot. The exciting thing about a one-taker is that the entire scene is filmed in one continuous take without any cuts. To make this possible, the entire sequence had to be meticulously planned. We were supported by Steadicam operator Johannes Ziegler, who rehearsed the one-taker over and over again. Our post-production team then adapted the spot to the appropriate TV format.
Solution
A DRTV spot, or a Direct Response Television spot, is a cost-effective way to market products with high reach and connect with a broad audience. This allows even companies with limited media budgets to produce impactful commercials. Viewers are prompted to call a specific phone number or visit a website. Because the "direct response" comes in the form of a call or a website visit, the success of the advertisement is directly measurable. However, the Yourfone spot wasn't just produced for the national television market; we also filmed the TV spot in a 16:9 format for social media. A unique challenge here was that our actors had to stay on their knees throughout the shoot to ensure we captured the perfect shot.
